The C-Bus Toolkit has a great little feature called "Scan New", in essence it "updates" your "Units in Network View" with any new units added to the Network since the last time you did a Scan.
A scan is a reasonably lengthy process and if you've just added a new unit (most likely at address 255) its a bit of a drag having to scan the ENTIRE Network to see this new Unit and be able to re-address or program it.
So, after you've scanned a Network and (if its a really really small house) you might end up with a "Units in Network View" that looks something like this:
And now you install a new Unit, fresh out of the box from the Clipsal Factory, you want to see this unit in the Toolkit so you can program it.. Press the "Scan New" Button!!:
The C-Bus Toolkit does a very quick check of what's on the Network and the Browser is updated to show new units, the new units are shown in blue so you can easily identify them. They will remain blue until you do another "Scan" or "Scan New". Here's our newly discovered unit.
