10" Touch screen

Hi,
This is the first time that I am touching this sort of thing so I am hoping people can excuse me ignorance

I have a client that is very keen to get a touchscreen on the wall that is going to me more then 10 inches. Since the colour c-touch is only 6.3" he does not want it.

Is Wiser the only way I can accomplish controlling the C-Bus from a tablet (either iPad, Windows or Android tablet)?

Also, what bits and pieces will I need to get it done? (e.g CNI, Wiser controller, licences, etc)

You can use Homegate which runs on a windows PC and has much the same functionality as a colour touchscreen.

There are also third party alternatives like Translink and Push Controls that support Android/IOS tablets.

 

HomeGate on something like a Dell Inspiron Model 20 (wall mounted in my case) works well. I have two of these connected to a separate PC running C-Gate plugged into a PCI via a USB to serial converter.

You could also connect a single touchscreen using a CNI.

So you'd need a HomeGate dongle and a either CNI or PCI.(CNI is probably better as it can be remote from the touchscreen but only allows a single connection at a time)
