    Hi everyone,

We appear to have a 2 issues with Toolkit 1.1.8 that we're going to address shortly, specifically:

    1. When transferring a Network to the DB (all units) the Notes and Catalog Number fields in the database are lost.

    2. Network Unravel seems problematic with Toolkit 1.1.8. It would seem possible to get into a situation where despite repeated unravel attempts you're still left with duplicate units.

We are working to resolve these 2 issues at the moment and will issue an update ASAP.

    Two ideas with the unravel
It would be nice to be able to select the address that toolkit unravels to, as it only seems to check againest the current network scan and not look at the database. So if u bring up just part of the site it unravels to an address that not on the network but in the database.
Also it would help if the unravel worked from say 250 down assigning address on the network then compare serial numbers with database to get correct address.

OK, we have a little bit more information on this. The problem isn't to do with the unravel its to do with incorrect detection of duplicate units. Its a little obscure.. it only involves Bridged Networks and only certain unit addresses on those Bridged Networks..

If you're experiencing problems with 1.1.8 and incorrect duplicate unit detection (and the subsequent attempt at Unravel) could you email me at : [email protected] as we have an updated cgate.jar file that we believe fixes the issue and which we'd like to get tested on as many problem networks as possible. Any help much appreciated.

Is this the same problem as matching incorrect serials if so, in my experience it isn't just with bridged networks.

We did an install the other day with about 40 units on the one networks and Toolkit matched up the wrong serials in a number of places. Sure had me scratching my head for a while

Hi Nobes, unrelated to that issue.

Talking about problems transfering in toolkit, I have noticed that if you transfer from the database to the network, the PARTNAME is not updated. but if you re-scan the network (can take a LONG time  ) the name is actually there :)
