New to the Fourm and hopping on the Cbus / Clipsal bandwagon.

Is it typical to have each output 1~4 or 8 fused or is it internally electronically protected for each output channel.
Also on the dimmer module do all output channels receive it power from a single 15~20 amp breaker wired to [L] [N].

I know PLC?s and typically there is a basic internal electrical line diagram given, but I see none for the Clipsal products for the high voltage wiring side.

I checked the manual but not there.

    Thanks

This depends on your local wiring regulations...

Here in Australia there is no requirement for a circuit breaker per channel... I understand though that there may be such a requirement for this in the UK.

The Australian wiring rules specify a circuit breaker for the purpose of protection of the downstream cable, not for protection of devices like dimmers.

The SLC5504D4A and SLC5508D2A do not have any internal protection.

In the wiring diagram on page 21 of the manual you linked to..
Power for the loads is supplied through the [L] connection marked "E". The corresponding [N] connection ("D") does not carry any load current, but is required for EMC compliance. The other mains connections ("A", "B", and "C") only supply power to the unit's internal power supply, however they must be on the same phase as the "E" connection, as the dimmer obtains its zero-crossing reference from the power supply.
