Can you set each of the 4 zones to a different temperature, presuming you had the remote stats (sentemb) in the others zones, or is it one set point for all 4 zones.

Also is there a way to do a optimised start ie room to be a 20degs for 7am and the stat calcs what time it needs to turn on dependant on warm up time and current temp.

Also when you set back zone 1 from the enable control, in the ctouch hvac manager it shows all 4 zones as set back is this correct can you set back any one of the zones or just all 4 ?

It is one setpoint for all Zones

This is very difficult to do because it is a moving target. As environmental conditions change, so would the time needed for pre-running. If you're worried about wasting energy you could try using a schedule to turn the thermostat on at a different setpoint and then set the target setpoint closer to 7am.

The setback applies to all zones.

I seem to remember the Satchwell CVST system could do that back in the late 70's......... It had an inside and outside temperature probe and would vary the start time of the heating system based upon the temperature difference. Of course that was pre digital, so I expect bigger and better things now ;)

If you can only set back all 4 zones at once why does toolkit create enable control for each individual zone ?

The zone control and the setback feature are different features.

The zones can be individually turned on/off as required. The groups provide on/off control for the different zones.

The setback is a separate feature, where the unit saves energy by running the unit in a mode that, whilst not off, allows wider swings in the temperature.
