I've got an installation with about 30 4031NMML mechs and I've found the blue key 2 output on 4 (so far) mechs is not working. I've tested the slaves and they are OK, I've tested key 3 and key 4 outputs and they are OK. I've tested various indicator configurations in the toolkit including "Always On" "Blue" and that does not work. I've reset the units in the toolkit and that does not work. Any chance there is a faulty batch of mechs?

Suggest you talk to tech support.
If there are faulty and under warranty they will walk you through replacement.

Thanks Wonkey. I spoke to tech support earlier and explained the situation. They basically told me to go back to the wholesaler. I pushed a bit and they said someone will call me back but nobody did.

Really frustrating because I had to go through testing every mech which meant removing all the single mechs.

5 out of 30 identical units do not illuminate the blue LED on key 2.

My concern now is if I return them and get replacements how many of those will have the same problem?

I’ve had the same issue with the 4031NMML. Orange indicator worked but blue did not in 2 out of 8 mechs. Luckily it was a commercial project so we had some freedom in the operation.

typically like to do dual status with orange for ON and blue for OFF. In this case we just left as single status with orange ON.

thought it was just unlucky but maybe there’s a batch issue?
