Hi all, I'm new here. Great to see all the discussion here.

We just got 4 of these, no seriously, we did :)

Single zone no relays. I'm using them to control 4 seperate panels on a reticulated hotwater heating system via solenoids. and it works great.

I would like to be able to switch all four thermostats off via a touch screen as part of an "away" scene. I can't see any remote on/off option.
    Is this possible?

I can monitor the on/off status of the thermostats via "application goup"
Can the current temp of each area be displayed on the touch screen?

Also I couldn't seem to assign them to my "heating" application which seems kind of silly.

    Any help/info would be great.

    Thanks, Brad.

Cool. If you will excuse the pun.
    Excellent, pleased to hear it.
    Sure is.
    Coming soon.
Heating application should be considered deprecated.

    Some more complete answers:

    1. Full support on touchscreens is due to be released very very soon in the next version of PICED. This is literally a matter of only a few days off. You will have full integration with the thermostat - on/off control, temperature set, etc. It will allow things like full mimic panels. I understand there are some new templates in there to show how it can be used.

    2. To remote on/off these:
    - In toolkit, make sure you have set each thermostat into a separate ZONE GROUP. (These are like lighting groups only slightly different, they are used to lump thermostats together when you use them in master/slave mode). Seeing as you have 4 separate thermostats with no master/slave, they must each be in their own separate Zone Group.
    - Once you have assigned the Zone Groups, then make a scene in your touchscreen, where the Application Address is (hex)AC (172 decimal), and in that scene make 4 components, each sets the respective Zone Groups to OFF.
    - For example, I might make the Zone Groups 95, 98, 104 and 167. Then in the touchscreen, my scene on application 172 will need to set group95 OFF, group98 OFF, group104 OFF and group 167 OFF.

    3. The Heating Application applies only to some very old products and is not actively supported. The heating application messages have nothing at all to do with the operation of the new thermostats.

PICED does not allow the use of Application 172 in Scenes or with Components.

The only way to achieve this is to write a small bit of logic which can be triggered from the Scene and which switches off the required Zone Groups.

Hey again. Well I have the piced update and the thermostat template looks ideal for what I'm after.
