    I have a need to measure 4 x battery voltages @ 48v DC (0-57v maximum).
Can I use the 5504GI natively without any conversion process as I have read the spec sheet and it states the following,
"Maximum allowable input voltage for all ranges: +60/-20V"
Can anyone shed any light onto this?

The GI unit will measure voltages upto 20V. any more would indicate full scale.
the Allowable range simply shows what can be connected without damage to the internal component.
If you want to measure 48v your going to have to build a simple voltage divider to allow the correct working range.
