5504GI no transfer

I have a NEW? 5504GI. I can see it on the network, re-address it, but cannot open the GUI to configure it. Is there a way to 'reset' the unit? (remembering i cant open the GUI to do this) Or does it sound like a trip to CIS is on the cards...

P.S. I do have other 5504GI's on the network that i can 'talk' to

What happens when you try to open it?

Is it powered up with the plug pack?

 

Unit is powered up (BTW have tried swapping plug packs with other units as well)

I get an erron saying - unit failed to scan cannot open unit

After some perserverring i was able to open it, when i tried to set the burden, i got an error saying transfer halted due to run/stop command (cant remember the rest)

 

Update

Now...very intermittently i can 'read' from the unit, but when i select a channel tab i get a toolkit error (and i did send them). But anytime i try to 'write' to the unit the transfer fails.
