    Hello all,

Is there a procedure to get the firmware uploaded into a 10W remote amp?

The reason I ask is that when I scan up the network the unit is seen, however when I try to access it via the 'units on network' window toolkit hits 39% on the scan and then reports an error 3036 - failed to load unit data.

I can transfer it to the database window (with an error); however it does show up as existing on the network. When I edit the unit it shows that the unit has no firmware.

This is the same with 5 units and they're from the same batch (manufactured 11 April 2011)

Is there something I'm missing regarding a firmware update or does anyone think it is a programming fault from the factory?

    Cheers,
    Ambro

It sounds to me like the amplifiers don't have their external power supply connected. You need to connect the external supply, or for the amplifier to be the "first in the line" when connected to the Matrix Switcher with the digital audio cable. Either method will give the amplifier power.

I also assume you're using a fairly recent version of Toolkit?

Thanks Newman - problem was there was no power to the amp as you said; I assumed that one could commission a unit from the matrix switcher via the c-bus power only without hooking up the digital audio or a power supply.... rookie mistake
