The sensor seems to constantly switch the load on and off. I have adjusted the light level trimpot with little luck. Are there any other adjustments that can be made within toolkit? It may be worth mentioning that the sensor is installed outside under the porch area and have moved any objects in the front yard that may be setting it off when its windy...

    Cheers

The 5751L is not really suitable for outdoor use. The most likely reason for the switching would be due to airflow through the unit tripping the sensor.

For outdoor use the 5750L is the best choice.

Thanks Newman, I fitted this sensor because it was not as bulky as the outdoor version. I know this would completly void the warranty, but could I simply "Seal up" the gap bewteen the body and the opaque sensor cover?

You would have to seal up the gap between the sensor window and the body, the gap between the sensor retaining ring and the body, the gaps around the adjustment screw, the gaps around the retaining ring alignment pins, the gaps between the two casing halves, the gap at the back around the PCB, the two little holes on the back of the unit, the filler piece above the terminals......

Nothing ventured, nothing gained but you may also wind up chasing your tail a bit. I'm also unsure of the level of UV resistance in the material used for the sensor window.

You can also extend the debounce time to make the sensor less "trigger" happy

Perhaps you could put the sensor inside a sealed dome, kinda like what they use for security cameras, but clear ??? Or would that stuff up the Infra Red sensing ?

The unit does not cop any direct sunlight so UV should not be an issue. I did fiddle with the debounce time, but obviously not enough. Will give it a shot tonight.
