    Hi,

Please can someone let me know how to programme a 5753L so it only comes on between dusk and dawn when activated by movement.

I've played around with the motion in dark and motion in light and also the screw on the front but nothing seems to work. They are coming on and working really well but even when it's full daylight at the moment.

I've also been using the outside PIR E5750WPL and these just seem to adjust from the screw under them and are working fine

    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi Mike
Open the sensor in Toolkit and check the blocks to see that it is only set for motion in darkness.
Also under the global tab there is an option to set the function of the potentiometers which you may want to check.
There is also a "reset to default configuration" button there if you want to try and start from scratch.
I've read that is a good idea if the programming has had been played around with a bit.

    Hi Daryl

    Thanks for the help.

It did work although I did still have to move the screw on the front of the sensor. Is this correct or should it all happen just from Toolkit?

The other I'd been playing with I'd over screwed and broken the screw I realised once I removed it from the ceiling

On the 5753L the light level that defines darkness is set purely by the screw on the unit, there is no setting in toolkit. On the 5753PEIRL the light level is set by a combination of the toolkit defined level and the screw if it assigned as a light level adjust.

    Day Move/ Night Move

We are using SLC5753PEIRL's and wish to have one group activated by Day Move (Motion in Light) and a different group activated by Night Move (Motion in Dark ) the sensors always seem to activate Night Move. How do you adjust the sensor to know when it's Day or Night? We are not using ANY other features on the unit, motion activation only.. no low light trigger etc. No IR.
There does not seem to be any Toolkit setting for that threshold.

The default key settings for day move is Retrigger. This means that if a timer is running (i.e. set from night move), the timer will be extended. If the group is currently off, the retrigger command will do nothing. The idea behind this is that generally when night move triggers the group on, the resulting light will put the sensor into day move mode which will just extend the timeout if it detects movement while the group is on, but will have no effect if triggered during the actual day. You need to go into the key functions tab and change the day move function key to match those of night move function key.

To set the light level go to the Globals tab and select 'Light Level & Sunset Adjust' for potentiometer A function. The potentiometer will then vary the sensitivity between 0 lux and the value set in the 'Light Level' tab 'Target' slider

    Hi,

I thought I'd cracked it but I am still having issues.

At the top of the page on a 5753L you have options of Day Move, Night Move etc and then on the occupancy tab there's motion in light and motion in darkness.

I've tried I think all combinations and tried the screw in different positions on different sensors and they are still coming on and there's plenty of daylight.

I would like them just to activate at dusk and off at dawn.

Please could someone advise what I'm doing wrong

    Thank you very much
