    Hi
I have a simple cbus system setup comprising:

    - Standard switches 5034NL, 5031NL, 5032NL
    - 12 Channel Relay with C-Bus Power Supply L5512RVF and Channel Relay with C-Bus Power Supply L5508RVF
    - Network Interface 5500CN
    - recently installed 5753PEIRL

i have the 5753PEIRL switching on light for a predetermined time at night when movement is detected

    with the following setting
    the potentiometer setting are:
    A - unused
    B - occupancy sensitivity adjust
    light level target:
    LUX 0
    Margin 0-100
    the doesn't work correctly
but as soon as increase Lux to next increment of 10Lux the unit works ok
can the unit be set to work at 0 Lux light level target, as its turning lights on when there is adequate lighting?

how can i set to override the sensor with the light switch at night?

I take it what you're trying to do is make the motion sensor always turn the light on, irrespective of light level. Is that correct? Perhaps if you spell out what you're trying to achieve we'll be able to help you with the unit configuration.

If you want the unit to only turn the lights on at very low light levels try setting the target to 20 lux and the margin to 0 (assuming all other settings are at their defaults).

What you are asking for is the default configuration for the sensor. By lowering the lux threshold to 0 you have effectively disabled the sensor, as the light level cannot go below zero.

The default behaviour is that movement detected when the light level is below the "light level target" will turn the light on and keep it on. Movement detected when the light level is above the target will keep the light on, but will not turn it back on again once it goes out.

What you need to do is reset the unit to it's default configuration and then assign a group address. This will make it work as you expect. You then need to tune the light level at which the unit will stop trying to turn the light on. You do this by adjusting the Lux threshold so that the unit doesn't work when there is sufficient light for you to not need the sensor to turn the light on.

In low light conditions it's also a good idea to reduce the Margin parameter down to only a couple of percent too.

For the sake of quick testing, you'll need to reduce the timer interval, otherwise you'll be waiting 5 minutes for the sensor to turn off.

Let us know how you go.
