Would i be correct in assuming that if there is no lights on the unit that its probably failed or can all lights be disabled. I am having trouble with some lights in a building coming on and going off in this zone at random times usually lasting for about 20-40 mins each day. The system is Cbus Dali gateway with Dali PS linked to a touch screen that has (TEST FLAGS) and it seems to go through the test Flags when the system powers up. The flag sequence stops on zone 3 which is the area that has the problem.

Is there a function or code that can scan the network and stop and start lights like this if the PIR has gone offline or has failed.

Ps i can un toggle the test flag and when i did the lights haven't misbehaved. But if the ctouch was to reboot it would start happening again..

    thanks

    Michael

I'm fairly sure you can disable the LEDs on the PEIRL (it has so many options), but why would you?
If it's playing up and the LED's are not lighting at all then I would suspect it may be the issue.
Can you check the unit's settings through toolkit?

    Hello Michael

I don't quite understand the test flag issues you mention but regarding the sensor led's.

Using CBus Toolkit, check the occupancy disable enable programming on the sensor to see if it has a group address assigned to disable.

Disabling the sensor is the only way I can get my led's to go out completely.

If the group address which is programmed to disable the sensor is "on" then of course the sensor will be non functioning.

If you cant find the sensor in Toolkit then it may well be faulty, reversed polarity (personal experience) or not connected to the network.

If the PIR was being used in a security environment then they should be turned off. Would-be thieves use the LED's in PIR's to stake out dead spots in coverage before doing their thing.

But in a non security environment, not so much of an issue, though sometimes LED's can be distracting (say in a darkened room etc), so handy to be able to turn them off.
