Hello there just like to see if anyome else is having the problems with v3.41 that i am having.
althrough not really problems but most annoying.
under edit scenes i have to maximise the window everytime to see the ok button.
If i quit toolkit and then immediatly (within a few minutes).load up piced and transfer project it doesnt work (com port error)and i have to exit piced again and restart, it then works.
The third is just a request could you if u havent already but an option to shut down c-gate automatically in the program.
. by the way on the first topic i have a wide screen laptop incase it is a resolution issue.
    cheers justinw:)

    Justin,

I reported the hidden OK button to Darren months ago. He insists it works alright for him???

I am still having problems with it however.

Darren, it's not just me...

This is most likely a "large fonts" issue. Currently our software is only designed for and supported under "normal fonts". This may change in the future.

To see if you are running a font DPI other than normal go to Start|Settings|Control Panel|Display.

Select "Settings" tab and then press "advanced" button. In the "General" tab there is a DPI Setting combo. The "normal" size is 96 DPI.

The other setting for fonts is (under XP) Start|Settings|Control Panel|Display, goto the Appearance tab and check that the Font Size is "normal".

I found that setting the task bar to automatically pop-up gets rid of the problem.

    Oh OK,

Maybe we should ask Microsoft to change their operating system

    Dear Bill,

We have found that your operating system seems to have problems working with Clipsal software.

As we use Clipsal software on a regular basis we find that we are greatly affected by this flaw in your software. Can you please rectify this problem immediately so I can continue to program in a unhindered fashion.

Thanks again for your understanding and look forward to the patch being available in the next Microsoft Update by the close of business today.

    Yours faithfully,

By the way - Settings on my PC identical to yours and experience same issue ??

Has to be something fundamental, somewhere ???

the tool bar problem exists in normal setting in my case as well. It is an easy job for programmer to change the window size, and I don't see the disadvantage of doing these.

I need to hide my tool bar everytime I use PICED and edit scene. Also, swapping between PICED and toolkit, yes, I too need to shut down C-gate everytime and let it restart.

One more question, why is the system page on scene editing still using Hex address? To ask my clients to change scene settings on C-Touch itself, I need to tell them the Hex address of lighting channel while every other stuff uses decimal addressing.....

It is very easy to trivialise this sort of thing, but it is very hard to work around certain operating system bugs. We have been aware of this problem for some time, but have had no luck in fixing it yet.
