A quckie, how do YOU pronounce PICED?

Personally, I say "Pie Said". But I heard a Clipsal rep call it "Picked" the other day.
    How do you pronounce it?

    How to say it...

Most engineering staff @ CIS call it "Picked". To me its a coke vs pepsi kind of thing :), I call it "Pick -ed", probably because im used to using editors for PIC chips :). In the end its the same brilliant program to use, no matter what you call it :).

Well, since it's an editor, the "ed" bit would have to be pronounced that way - "ed". Anything else wouldn't make sense.

So that leaves the "PIC", which I believe is supposed to be "Programmer for Embedded Devices", which if one dared pull a switch or other device apart, one would almost certainly find one or more "PIC" chips inside (which are pronounced like "pick"), I'd vote for "Pick-Ed".

It's definitely PIC ED (pick - ed).

It is officially pronounced "picked". The next most common pronunciation rhymes with "spiced". "pick-ed" is also very common.

    PIC ED (pick - ed).

Once you have had to refer to the app 100,000 times "pick-ed" tends to emerge as the pronunciation that produces the least amount of strange looks in response.

 Maybe it's not the pronunciation of the name, but something strange about me instead

Although Darren has from time to time pronounced it -

PICKED, PIE-SED, PISSED, PIC-ID, and PEACED.

It seems that even the author of the software has some MASSIVE problems with the pronunciation of PICED! :D

Hmmm, either, "the author of the software has some MASSIVE problems with the pronunciation of PICED", or, the author of the software has a mind brilliant enough to speak authoritatively on a complex subject and cycle through various pronunciations for a piece of software, as a very slight but intentional go of humour ;)

For those of you out in C-Bus users world, be comfortable in the knowledge that there are some "brilliant minds on the job" !

I know the guy who came up with the acronym pretty well, so I asked him :) Apparently, it was originally conceived as 'Picked', but he concedes 'Pick-ed' is better. So Pick-Ed it is, offically.

To date I've always pronounced it PIES - ED
    - As in rhyming with "what's the price, Ed?"

During early development, I guess it probably was pronounced with a "R" in it
