    Hi Everybody,
I have a small question regarding C-Bus Toolkit. I have a hard time reading selected units (in both the database and network windows), my PC's seem to display them as black on dark blue, not much contrast at all.
I have tried changing my desktop colours to avail. The highlighted units still show up as black on dark blue.
    Does anyone else notice this?
    Could this possibly be changed?
    Regards,
    Michael.

OOPS, I posted my reply in the other thread, my bad!!. Should be here....

OK, I see what happens now. The background cannot be changed using windows desktop advanced properties. It always remains dark blue. But you can change the text colour....
My "selected items" settings were black text on light grey backround, this looks good in virtually all other programs. I was just trying to change the background, leaving the text as black.
To get a good contrast in Toolkit with the dark blue, I have to select yellow, cyan or light green text. This allows me to read the selected unit in toolkit, but this looks a little out of place in the rest of my windows apps, which is based on the "silver" XP colour scheme.
Maybe in a future release of Toolkit, both windows "selected items" colours could be integrated into Toolkit, just to make things look the same over all windows apps??
    Thanks for the replies,
    Michael.
P.S. As a further comment. I have just found that virtually every other part of Tookit use BOTH windows "selected items" colour scheme. One for example is when you readdress a unit, the selected item appears in the windows colours with both text and background colours as they appear in the windows appearance properties. So now I have green on dark blue when highlighing a unit, AND green on light grey for everything else.
I hate to be picky but.....

I'm a little disappointed that this doesn't seem to have been fixed in Toolkit 1.1.6.
I still have to have my nasty green text on "selected items" because the windows desktop backgroud colour isn't used in Tookit. (But only in the database view, every other menu seems ok?)
    :(

It's been over two years since I started this thread...
...and the problem still hasn't been fixed. :)

It's OK when I'm selecting a C-Bus unit on the right hand pane, the background is a nice light grey colour, nice and easy to read.

...but everything else including groups have the dark blue background.

I know, I know... it's a "little" thing... but what's the point of reporting bugs when nothing happpens. :p

    Michael.

    Hello Michael

You will be pleased to know that each release of Toolkit contains fixes for typically between 300 and 500 bugs. By far the majority are little things (like "there is a green line in the image and it should be blue") and things like that.

This issue you raised was closed out some time ago, so there has been no action on it since.

    However the good news is:

    1) There are wondrous things in the wings - the next 2 releases are in planning and there are some mighty big things afoot.

    2) I'll re-open that defect so that it can - I hope - be addressed, perhaps even in the next release or two.

(For your info, though, the next major release will primarily be a maintenance release to support new products. Major new features and significant updates are planned for the release after that.)
