    Hi There,

We are currently installing a B&W CT for a customer and we want to use the CT as the store for all scenes. Once all the scenes have been created how do these scenes get made available so I can attach a NEO key to trigger the scene? I was hunting around Toolkit yesterday and I just can't seem to find this out.

When you define a Scene in the C-Touch you can nominate a Trigger Control Group and Action Selector..

That same Action Selector can be "sent" from within a Neo Key by selecting a Function of "Scene" for the Key then selecting a "Blank Scene" and then selecting the same Trigger Group and Action Selector as you selected in the C-Touch. Example for Key1 of a Neo shown below

"Scene 1" above has no groups set for it.. it just fires off the Action Selector, the C-Touch picks it up and fires the "real scene"..

I want to do it the other way round, that is, store all the scene on local DLT/NEO switches and have B&W C-touch remote triggereing them.

The problem is C-Touch doesn't allow empty scene, so I used a single dummy address with all the scene. (same setting in the scene). However, on computer and without connecting to the real network, those scene trigger keys doesn't work as normal. For example I have two scene with same trigger group but different action selectors. I trigger the first one and then trigger second scene. I expected scene two will de-activate scene one, but both scene remains active as shown by the indicator. I wonder if it will be normal if I connected to the real network.

There is nothing really wrong with storing scenes in DLT/neo 's and triggering them from a C-Touch. The way to create a scene trigger on a C-Touch is simply place a CBus button on the screen that will 'preset' the 'trigger application' GA. The preset value will be the same as the action selector in the scene stored in the DLT/Neo. This means that you dont have to try and store a blank scene.

    Regards,
    Matty.

I have tried to create a scene with dummy address in C-Touch, with the same trigger address, tag as the scene in a DLT. However, it couldn't trigger the scene from C-Touch. Why? What is the difference between a scene key in a switch and a C-Touch? It works perfectly the other way round.

(I'll use the preset, thx for advice. I just wonder why the problem exists.)
