Accessing Wiser

    Glad you got it working.. Indeed i see your point now regards the wan setting i referred to above.. I stand semi corrected.. Its still my preferred way of doing things and seeing as everything works either way its all good..

    Even when Wiser is configured to run in LAN mode, it will still attempt to do its best to discriminate between local and remote accesses. So the traffic coming from the internet, ie: your WAN goes to your router and then the router does either SNAT (conversion to router's IP) or DNAT (leave external IP alone), and then forwards this traffic to your Wiser. The Wiser then sees a connection from its gateway address or from an address that is not part of its subnet, it says, hmm, that's external, has the user allowed me to accept such a connection (eg: allow remote projector access) and if so, good permit it, if not, reject it.
