I have updated to PICED 3.5 and I have noticed that all alpha blending in existing projects does not get transfered to v3.5.

This is rather anoying, as I use this featuse lots for a background to text to make it easies to read.

As it stands, I will have to go through every project and change every page manually?

I would suggest waiting until we can investigate the problem. There should be no need to do this.

Can you please provide more information about what is happening or not happening ?

I have just loaded a V3.0 project into V3.5 and the alpha belnding works perfectly.

I use a solid background blended to around 40% for text on picture backgrounds to make it easier to read.

I have looked at a coupole of projects and some are effected and some not. Looks like text with blending is fine.

The ones that are effected are a 'SHAPE' with round corners. Some don't port the alpha blend % and some do port but the selected blend options is for 'none' rather than 'border and background'

    hope this helps:)

    Hi Jason,

I have looked around a bit and noticed that when an older file is opened in the newer version of PICED the alpha blending options may not get selected correctly. This is because more alpha blending options have been introduced

To fix this go to the 'component properties', 'visual properties', 'alpha blend' and you'll find that the 'alpha blend properties may be set to 'none'. Then select one of the options in the drop down list.

Will look at ways to improve this for the future.

    Regards,

    Matty

Yes I know this, but when you have lots of projects and lots of pages using alpha....well do the math:mad:

Just means that every upgrade takes a long time to make sure that nothing is missed or I get an angry customer on the phone making me come back to fix something that was right before....
