    Hi all,
We haven't used any DLT's before and I thought I heard someone mention that the backlight is too bright for installation next to beds. What do you think?

They are fine - just set the backlight lvl to a group in the bedroom. If all the lights are off then the backlight is off, if they are dim it is dim etc.

    Hey Kirk
If this is for a client it can be hit and miss.
I have had people say that they love the back light on the switches cause it acts as a night light and i have had people ask for them to be removed from the bedrooms because they can't stand it.
    Goodluck:)

You can turn the back light off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whats the problem ? I have one 30cm from where I sleep (my wife too) - not an issue or am I missing something. Our room is pitch black with 4 dlt's in it.

I have used DLT's in bedrooms and they can be a little bright, I find that I simply have to discuss the level with the client and then dim it appropriatly. I find most clients really appreciate the soft light, Anyhow it's no worse than an everyday clockradio, but a hell of alot pretty to look at.

    Cheers Gavin...

I have them set at 10% at night time right beside my wifes head (and mine) and it can be a little bright. As mentioned, I have them set to follow a group address that when I hit GoodNight Scene on the DLT, it turns off the DLT backlight. I have found this to work best so far.

Yes, I can turn it off in all of my DLT's.

I have found in older firmware though that they are brighter and cannot always be turned off. All the newer firmware oneswork fine.
