Hi can some one point me in the best direction, for measuring my in ground 100,000 litre tank. I was thinking along the lines of, a 0-20ma ultrasonic unit and a analogue input unit. I want to be able to view reading through my translink interface. I have not yet done the logic course, so I do not know how to write logic programs yet. Is there a simpler way to achieve this??? Cheers ADAM...

From the Translink perspective, you just need a sensor that will broadcast on the C-Bus measurement application.

Depending on the tank arrangement, an ultrasonic has a balnking range (how close it can go to the surface being measured) and walls and other things can cause unwanted reflections to create false echos that give bad readings.

A submersible pressure transmitter may be easier, just drop it in and your done.

Both will work on 4-20mA. You can get wither a 4 wire or 2 wire version.

4-20ma is probably the easiest for what ou want to do.
