Hi Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

I'm having an issue with my CBUS - it does not appear to be issuing the correct status. For example I can turn a light on but when I look in the Cbus Toolkit it tells me it is off.

I also have Comfort Alarm connected and this is now not able to send the commands to cbus and cbus does not report the correct status. Can anyone help with what may be causing this?

When you say toolkit shows the load as off, are you sure that you are connected to the network and the network is showing as running.
The application log in TK should show any changes that take place on the network provide the network is running.
With regard to the Alarm if it did work and has now stopped then:
Check the voltage out on the C-Bus network at the Comfort Panel if its OK try rebooting the alarm.
Check the programming of the Alarm

    HI Wonkey,

Thanks for the response, i'm still having this issue and think its the CBUS not the alarm. I have checked and the toolkit shows CBUS as open & Running. The way the system works is that the alarm send a ramp on response and then after a period sends an off command. It sends the commands but for some reason CBUS changes to off on the toolkit but the switch remains lit and the light is still on.

An example of this is currently the hallway light is on, the lightswitch says it's on but in the CBUS toolkit it states it is off. As my Alarm checks the state of the light from CBUS it does not re-issue the command.

Are you sure the alarm is sending out the correct application and group address?

Has this been working in the past and has stopped or has it never worked?

What does the toolkit log show when all this is happening?

    Cheers..

Check also if you have a Burden enabled, strange things happen without it. Plug the H/W burden in and see what happens, it's the little pink RJ45 plug that everyone should have one off at least. Oh, and before I forget, only ONE of these.

Hi thanks for the help, I don't have a hardware burden but have enabled the software on one of the modules - the CBUS UCM for comfort has a network Burden that I can enable or do you think I should buy the pink one?

It used to work and the system is only just over a year old. do you think it might be the burden that is causing the issue?

Has anything else changed on your system since it stopped working.. Electronics are emotionless and dont just stop doing because they feel like it..

Have you got a PAC controller or a touchscreen in the installation?

    Cheers..

Hi no Pac controller or touchscreen, the last thing I added was 5500PCU but that has been in for a little while. I think I odd the odd issue with it previously but lately it has become more frequent.

Not sure if this was due to the addition of the 5500CPU.

I would be checking your power supplies and making sure that you have enough for what you have on your network. If so check that you have at least 28v at your relay and pushbutton.

Thanks, I checked the power supplies and it is fine, it also says it sufficient in the toolkit. May be that but I don't think so. If everything else fails I may have to buy another power supply to try.

I've had weirdness when the software burden was disabled for some reason.

I'd remove the UCM from the equation, and plug in a CBUS hardware burdon. At least that way you can elimate Comfort.
