    Dear Friends,

Our BW C-Touch(No logic) is getting restarted when we press a component in a page. This component is just a link to another page, which contains some C-Bus buttons controlling scenes.

Is there any minimum spare memory required for the working of C-Touch? We are having only 2.2% remaining.(out of 262144 bytes only 5888 is remaining),

    Regards,

    Rakesh.

If you are not using the latest firmware version (V3.42), update that first.

Otherwise, please send the project archive into Tech Support with instructions on how to make the fault appear.

    Dear Mr.Darren,

The firmware presently used is v3.30, when we tried to load v3.42 it shows transfer error.

    We received Schedule Plus v3.1 - 5000SP, Dongle - 5000CGUNL from Clipsal,
We upgraded this to S+ - v3.9.0.0. We assume this dongle will not be compatible with S+ v4.x.x series.

The specs of other s/w's are
    C-Bus Tool Kit - v1.9.3 (Build 369)
    C-Gate - v2.6.1 (Build 2246)
    PICED - 4.4.1.0

    C-Touch with H/w - 1.0,
    C-Bus - 5.1,
    C-Touch - 3.30

Please let us know if there is any incompatibility in the Versions of S/w or F/w used.

What all files we have to send to technical support? *.xml, *.ctd, *.cbz

    regards, Rakesh

The technical support department requires CTA type files. These can be created in PICED by going to FILE>>ARCHIVE>>EXPORT TO ARCHIVE.

It is also useful to send a CBZ from toolkit.

What was the error number and description?

Schedule Plus is irrelevant to C-Touch, but you are correct in that the old type dongle will not operate with Schedule Plus V4.X

These versions are all quite old. I would recommend getting the latest PICED and C-Bus ToolKit.

    B&W Touchscreens rebooting

We have also seen the same behaviour and reported the issue to CIS tech support some 4 weeks ago.
We have verified that firmwire is NOT the issue.

To date, we have still not had a response!!!!

We have mailed the details to the tech support, waiting for reply....

Meantime, our problem got solved by reducing the usage of resources, initially it was 2.2% spare now its 14% and its working fine. Removed some big scenes/buttons etc.

We had used FONT size 12 initially, but changed everything to 9/10 but, still Piced allocates memory (4752bytes) for the font size 12, any idea to retrieve these memory?

We have updated the s/w (4.6.1) and f/w (v3.42). Before we were trying to load the f/w 3.42 using s/w 4.4.1, assume that's why it showed the Transfer Error. Now C-Touch is working good.

    Regards,

    Rakesh.

That would be correct. The PICED version and the unit firmware version need to match (generally speaking) for everything to work properly.

The amount of spare memory should not make any difference. The problem may have been related to something you have deleted.

The Arial 9 and 12 point font are always transferred as they are required for the system pages.

If you aren't using the latest version, can you give it a try?

If the problem is still there, can you send your project archive to Tech Support (again) with details of how to make he fault occur and get them to forward it to me. We will try to get this resolved as soon as we can.

I could have used Font Size 9/12, to reduce the usage of Resources...
