    Hello

New to the forum so please forgive me if I have posted in the wrong place. I am also new to Clipsal C-BUS 2. I have 3 x voltage free relay units and 5 x dimmer units that I want to test and eventually use.

What software do I need to test and eventually program the units through the tcp/ip network interface. Are there free or limited feature software available that I can install on windows or linux pc to test my units.

    Where should I start.
Thank you for any help that you provide to me

You will need a CBus PC interface to connect to the CBus network.
C-Bus Ethernet Network Interface is a good choice for maximum flexibility.
There are also USB and RS232 interfaces available.
Wiser, Wiser2 and CBus Automation controllers also have CBus network interfaces.

    Windows OS is required.
Windows 10 will be just fine.
The software to configure the CBus devices is called CBus Toolkit and you can download it here.
    http://www2.clipsal.com/cis/technical/downloads

Some key inputs eg light switches would be nice to have if you set the CBus up for testing.
A second hand 8 gang Neo would be handy to learn with if you are doing it on a bench.

There are a number of things to learn about how to set up a CBus network.
Cabling requirements, network burden and network clocks for a start.
Google and read the CBus basic training manual.
I also suggest to always read installation manuals for each device.

CBus Toolkit and Piced software have extensive help files within the programs.

Be safe and use licenced person for 240V

If possible a basic CBus training course is well worth doing.
