I'm planning to upgrade my exisiting central heating system to C-Bus control. Its a fairly typical large UK domestic arrangement (sealed system, with provision for 3 heating zones and a hot water cylinder). Currently its controlled via a Honeywell Smartfit thermostat/baseunit, however that doesn't support programming the separate heating zones.

Upgrading the heating zones with a 5070THP and a couple of slave 5070THB units looks straight forwards. However how can I sense the temperature of the hot water cylinder? (I don't need to monitor the exact temperature, I just need to be able to switch the hot water zone off when it gets to some set point.)

Has anyone experience with an installation of this type?

The thermostat has no such input (for sensing the cylinder).
