I wired/ cabled a rough-in a few years back, its completed, walls are all plastered up and cables in place, but, NO CBUS equipment has been bought or installed yet.
My thought is that the CBUS systems are on the way out, as new products on the market are offering a lot more and take up less space. The C-bus is also not Google-Home compatible From what I'm reading on this forums is that there seems to be a bit of work to get this Google home set up on pre-installed C-bus system. or has all this changed at 2020 ?

Do you think it would be quicker and cheaper to start over and rewire the lot with another system Like Power Mesh ?

CBUS can be interfaced with google/Apple/amazon products via openhab or Homebridge platforms

Cbus is industrial quality, google compatible units are mass market consumer crap that are designed to last 2-4 years tops.

CBuS is a whole of site solution that is scalable and robust and will support pretty much anything u throw at it, google is not.

CBUS is internet independent google is not, it requires alway connected interpretations at the google end.

Being self contained and isolatable from the world makes CBUS easily savable if ur hacked u just pull the network plug and u can still use it.

    Thanks For Reply,
Yes, just been through the latest catalog and see it's not going to be such a big problem since the C-Bus Wiser 2 has the latest capabilities of integration, but, it comes with hefty price tag !
