    Hi,

C-Bus Toolkit 1.14.0 has been released. It includes C-Gate 2.10.5. You can find it at the CIS Downloads page.

This release introduces Saturn Zen unit support, a Rapid Commissioning UI for multisensors, and increases C-Gate stability at large sites.

UPDATE (17th Dec): C-Bus Toolkit 1.14.1 has been released. It fixes a bug with programming SENTEMP4, DIMAR12, IOPE2C4, SENLL or DMXDO12 units. There are no other changes.

The release notes describing all changes in detail can be found here: C-Bus Toolkit 1.14.1 Release Notes.pdf

    Happy Holidays,

    Clipsal Software Team

Similar to saturn but more toned down.. Flat white and flat black plastic finish.. Same colour buttons as facia, illuminating led in centre of button, replaceable button caps with 'widget' style icons.. Oh and offset buttons.. :)

Due for release end of january/february..

    Hi all,

We have just pushed C-Bus Toolkit 1.14.1 to the downloads site. It fixes a bug with programming SENTEMP4, DIMAR12, IOPE2C4, SENLL or DMXDO12 units. There are no other changes - if you don't have these units you don't need to upgrade.

    Bug in software

I have just purchased a network interface for my home C-Bus and installed it. Assigned an IP address; made sure I could ping it and installed and opened the latest Toolkit software. When I ran the Toolkit, I asked the system to scan the network using the default parameters 'Scan Default interface'. The system found my interface; I identified it as the 'Default Interface' and it also found my project and correctly identified the number of units. However, when I then click 'Open Project', the toolkit crashes with the following error:

    "An unexpected error occured etc....

    [JCLDEBUGOUTPUT:]
Exception occured at $00ACE7A8(Module: cxGridCustomTableView, Procedure: cxGridCustomTableView.TcxCustomGridRecord.GetRecordIndex, Source: cxGridCustomTableView.pas, Line: 17799)
Exception 'EAccessViolation' in module CBusToolkit.exe at 004CD7A8
Access violation at address 00ACE7A8 in module 'CBusToolkit.exe'. Read of address 00000018"

After some research, I found that if I chose the 'Scan C-Bus Network Interfaces' radio button, I was able to open my project and annotate etc correctly. Obviously, there is no problem with the CNI; my (ethernet) network or the C-Bus network!

I have seen comments on the C-Bus forum that a similar error has been found in the past, and supposedly fixed. Well, it hasn't! I also downgraded to 1.13 to see if the error was still there - and it was. I also tried on three machines - win7-64 bit; win7-32 bit and win8.1-32 bit. All crash in the same way. Any comments, please?

    Hey Mike
I've got pretty much the same problem.

When trying to find the CNI, using Scan C-Bus Network Interfaces, nothing shows up. The only way for me to find it is to use the 'Scan Default Interface' and set the IP and port there.

Once I click scan, the Project Name and Number of Units show up correctly.

However; as soon as I click 'Open Project', I get a similar error:
    [JCLDEBUGOUTPUT:]
Exception occured at $00B97274(Module: cxGridCustomTableView, Procedure: cxGridCustomTableView.TcxCustomGridRecord.GetRecordIndex, Source: cxGridCustomTableView.pas, Line: 17799)
Exception 'EAccessViolation' in module CBusToolkit.exe at 00596274
Access violation at address 00B97274 in module 'CBusToolkit.exe'. Read of address 00000018"

    Anyone ? ideas ?

    Hi RobRam
Could you try creating the project using "add project" and filling in the connection details manually.
    Then try and open it.
I'm not sure this relates to your problem but I was able to get around trouble scanning a new network using that method.

    Hi Daryl

I can open it manually by creating a new project, and then assigning connection IP, etc. However I'm not able to import/rebuild the project's structure as such. It returns all the units, but all variables are default on inspection.
i.e. if I open a DLT, then it's got no name variables, etc.

I've upgraded to 1.14.2, but still the same problem.

    Cheers
    Rob

    Hi RobRam

If it is an existing project you should use ToolKit to restore the backup.

I haven't used DLT but if you don't have a backup then you will not get the project's group address names from the network.
