    Hello,
is there any way that we can change the colours on the v3 software??

When looking at all the units on the c-bus network and the user clicks to highlight the unit, I find it very very hard to read black text on a dark blue selected line.

Just to show you what I mean i will try to attached an image on this thread.

    Regards

Are you using Toolkit 1.1.3? When I highlight a unit (blue bar) then the text for the unit shows up in white.

George, thats sure difficult to read!.

Have you changed your Windows Color Scheme? Can I suggest trying it back at a default color scheme if you have and see if that fixes it?

    Suggestions please!!

I noticed a few people has suggested changing the colours in C-Bus Toolkit. Unfortunately without any real feedback on what to change and what to change it to ... we are pretty stuck.

Either the poll needs to be very specific or people need to provide written info on what they do/don't like about the current colour scheme.

In General we try to abide by the colour scheme *you* have chosen in windows.

For the record, my highlight scheme is white writing on blue background as specified in my Windows configuration.

    Thanks duncanrm,
I changed the Selected Items colour in my Advanced Appearance of my laptop and once I found a good colour combination that worked it looked fine.

    Thanks again....

OK, I see what happens now. The background cannot be changed using windows desktop advanced properties. It always remains dark blue. But you can change the text colour....
My "selected items" settings were black text on light grey backround, this looks good in virtually all other programs. I was just trying to change the background, leaving the text as black.
To get a good contrast in Toolkit with the dark blue, I have to select yellow, cyan or light green text. This allows me to read the selected unit in toolkit, but this looks a little out of place in the rest of my windows apps, which is based on the "silver" XP colour scheme.
Maybe in a future release of Toolkit, both windows "selected items" colours could be integrated into Toolkit, just to make things look the same over all windows apps??
    Thanks for the replies,
    Michael.
P.S. As a further comment. I have just found that virtually every other part of Tookit use BOTH windows "selected items" colour scheme. One for example is when you readdress a unit, the selected item appears in the windows colours with both text and background colours as they appear in the windows appearance properties. So now I have green on dark blue when highlighing a unit, AND green on light grey for everything else.
I hate to be picky but.....

Time for a bit more prodding.... I've just installed v1.2.2 and this is still an issue. It's been almost a year since the last post in this thread, when might we see a fix for this defect? :)
    Regards,
    Michael.

That defect has been closed as fixed in the next major release. So it is definately on it's way.
