I have a client that has a home C-Bus network, and they wish to extend to pool area - the problem is that there is next no chance of running a c-bus cable to the existing pool area.

My question is what sort of range is a wireless gateway capable of?. The house is double brick, and the pool area is lower than the house and about 10m away. There is a lot of concrete between the pool equipment area and the house.

Was thinking of using 2 wireless gateways (1 inside house and 1 in pool equipment area), but I have my doubts whether the wireless will have the range and/or the penetration to go through the concrete.

    Appreciate your advice...

If you only want to go 10m you are probably going to be OK.

Can you get a gateway under eaves or similar so the signal does not have to go through the double brick?

There is only one way to be 100% sure though, and that's to try it.
