in brief, what are the main advatages of using C-Lution rather than say Schedule Plus on a project. C-Lution costs are high for the number of points you can control, so there must be some very big advantages to ????

I wouldn't buy C-Lution. You are better off using Citect V7 instead combined with the C-Bus OPC Server (which works with Citec V7 for free).

C-Lution is a re-badging of Citec V5 and is quite dated.

You would choose Citect over Schedule Plus if you need to talk to more devices than just C-Bus. Citect is a full SCADA system and talks to hundreds of devices.

You would choose Citect if you had more sophisticated data display and logging requirements. Citect supports trending and communications to different database storage formats.

You would choose Citect if you needed redundancy as it can be setup for failover. (nbote would require more licesning to do this).

You would choose Schedule-Plus if the feature set does what you need.

You would choose Schedule-Plus if you want a vastly simplified installation and configuration process. (Citect is hard to get started with).
