C Touch Button Size

Hi all,

Have been using both B & W and Colour C Touch linked between house and shed for some years.

Decided to do some editing but find when I edit a C Bus button on either unit the button defaults to 38 in height from 24 in height. Specifically setting height at 24 does not reduce it from the new 38 to the required 24.

Has anyone had this problem and what was the fix.

I just tried it in Piced.
24 high is a really small button.
Surely you could make some logical page arrangement to have some larger buttons.

Piced would not let me make it that small until I shrunk the text or in the case of a button with a symbol removed the symbol.

 

C Bus Buttons

I have been using the same size buttons successfully since about 2008 so do not need to change them.

Using other pages to increase the size defeats the purpose of the setup on certain pages as they are structured for use by Farm hands and to open other pages for their use would only lead to confusion.

Available if necessary but rarely used is an Apple iPhone rubber stylus.

Basically if I had 24 height buttons for some 10 years, why are they now defaulting to 34 when the text on the button is edited.

There is two types of button in the component menu.
CBus button and text button.

In Piced 4.12.1.0 I was able to get both of them to 24 high.
For the text button I had to reduce the font size.
For the CBus button I had to unselect "show image"

Many thanks for the input. Yes, it must have been a recent update that changed the default settings.

I have deleted the "On" image and changed the background to display the "active" mode in Red for the Colour unit and Black for the B & W unit.

Not ideal but it works.

Perhaps someone else may know how you were able to use 24 high buttons with image previously.

If you have room to place an indicator button 15x15 next to the CBus button you should be able to set up a user friendly status indication for the B&W screen.
