    1. Can C-Touch be configured to poll a serial device over RS232 at defineable intervals and then understand the return data string? For example, poll a preamplifier every second "what is your volume set at" and then understand the reply "volume is set at ..." And then display this in a panel.
    2. Can C-Touch send out via its IR port a discrete IR code eg "ramp volume up" (whatever that code is) , "ramp volume down" (whatever that code is) and "mute" (whatever that code is). Many devices have a hard-wired IR socket for control (or use an IR blaster), I'm curious as to what level of IR control can be achieved of other devices from C-Touch.
    3. Can C-Touch be configured to update it's internal clock (date/time) from a network time server over ethernet? In other words, slave it's time daily/weekly to a time server via internet.
    4. I have an IP camera server on the same LAN subnet as C-Touch that requires user ID and password, is there any way C-Touch can logon to the server with user ID/password credentials stored in a keychain?
    5. I have just installed a new C-Touch Colour using wall box and fed cables through for c-bus in/loop, ethernet, rs232, audio, IR (it took me 2 days to channel through the brick and do conduits etc), and then after it was all done and channels rendered up the C-Touch wouldn't fit in the wall box BASH HEAD AGAINST THE WALL MANY TIMES. Can Clipsal do a bigger wall box option??

Yes it can. See the Logic help file topic "Serial IO Example".

C-Touch only has an IR input. If you want to send IR, you need to use the Infra Red Transmitter Unit. See http://www2.clipsal.com/cis/technical/product_groups/cbus/output_units/infrared_output_unit

    Not at the moment.

It can use HTTP Auth to log in to a web cam using a user name and password. I am not sure what the key chain you refer to does.

What was stopping it from fitting ? Was it all of the cables ?

Thank for the response. A deeper wall box option would have been helpful for me. The problem is simply one of available room to fit the cables intended for my application. With RS232, CBUS and cat6 Ethernet (all with molded ends), coax cable for video out, audio in and IR out, they all take up a very tight space in the box. It was very difficult for me with this install (my first C-Touch Colour) because I assumed it would all fit and didn't try a dry fit first. That was a mistake. But I eventually got it done, but now that it is done I wouldn't wish to try making it fit again!

p.s. "keychain" is a Mac term, being an application which stores all passwords for other applications and enters them automatically when required.

There is no support for this in Colour C-Touch
