    Hello!

I was working on C-touch colour and I have two questions

It is possible to silence the beep on C-touch colour, that is because I preffer to hear some sounds that I had put into C-Touch buttons.

    The other Question is :

I tryed to show a web page in C-Touch (connected to Internet via Ethernet cable), but the HTML component stay in blank. When I programming It In PICED I can see the Web page.

By other way ,if I try to access to Internet Explorer using a keyboard connected to C-Touch there is a message that say
"Windows cannot find "inetcpl.cpl", make sure....."

    What could be happening??

The colour C-Touch currently does not support the HTML component and has no way of loading webpages. There is no web browser installed on the CTC, certainly not Internet Explorer.

There are plans to support browsing on the CTC in the near future and it is currently being developed.

There is no capability of doing this at the moment.

I am interested to know how you did this. PICED doesn't allow HTML components to be used for colour C-Touch projects. The reason it does this is that HTML is not currently supported in colour C-Touch (as you have discovered).

I have to agree the beep can be a pain for some fussy customers shedding out 3k for this item. I have also had one complaint that there should be a way to turn the backlight down very low or turn the monitor off (ie whilst sleeping) is there any plans to do this is it possible. we have tried black pages but backlight is still very bright. This would be handy for colour ctouch installed in Home Theatre rooms.

I concur with the beep, even the ability to change it to a 'click' would be better.

I have found the sound settings to adjust the volume, but that adjusts the Alarm volume also.
A way of having different settings, one for the touch and one for the alarm would be great.

We will look at doing it soon.
Have you adjusted the backlight response ? If you adjust the backlight to go down to around a few % and use a black page you can get it to be very dark.

I opened from PICED an proyect originally made with Schedule Plus (this software support HTML components, now I realize that in Piced HTML component Button is not abailable (colour Grey)), but in PICED if I double click left button on this component frame it is opened by PICED and allows me to fill the URL field in visual properties.

By other Way CTouch colour Users guide says in Item "4.0 Capabilities" the following:

". View HTML compatibles pages over a network" how can i do that , or what does it means, I interpreted that this means view a Web page in C-Touch colour.
Other question is how can I do to ". monitor a room or other area via IP camera"

    Regards

    Daniel

The next release of the colour C-Touch should allow you to view HTML pages and (hopefully) IP cameras. The user's guide was written in anticipation of these features being added.

Most IP cameras require Active X controls to be loaded. Going to support that ??

I've been puzzled by this for a while :(
I run a Colour Touch screen which hardly suppports anything and I also have an embeded XP box which runs Homegate and thus everything,Html, Axis cameras other programs etc
What is running on CTC compared to Homegate that makes it so "precious"
    thanks

Simple - who you going to blame when your in-the-wall appliance (CTouch) barfs because it has a vrius?

Clipsal is investigating and trying to find the most robust method of supporting browsing + IP cameras (including use of ActiveX controls). Robust in this sense means the least possible comeback against both Clipsal, and our first-line customers (installers, systems integrators, etc.)

This helps us all keep our ultimate customers (the consumer / building owner) happy.

    Hello again!

I realized there is a way to silence the beep, as follows:

    1) Connect a Keyboard to C-Touch Colour
    2) Power on C-touch Colour and wait
    3) After that press the "Windows key" on keyboard, and with arrowg go to control panel and press enter.
    4) In Control Panel go to Elo Touchscreen and touch it
    5) Disable the check bok that says "Enable clik sounds", (or regulate the sound you like).

    Thats all folks:)

    Regards

    I understand
But there is only so much Clipsal can do
Why not allow the intergrator to sanction certain concidered safe ip addresses?
I run virus software on the embeded Xp so it is as safe as all my other PC's

If Clipsal are trying to make a fullproof Microsoft platform we could wait for years surely?
