When planning an install, if one was to be running say 3 105 watt transformers off of one channel of a dimmer to drive 9 25 watt halogens around the face of bookshelves, would it be recommended that a seperate run of 1.5mm t/e be run for each transformer from the switchboard or just junction it off one cable at the room?

Any suggestions? I am doing an excel spreadsheet that will allow me to calculate how much cable I need to buy so it would be most helpful.

Like I said, could I plan to run 3x 105w transformers off one dimmer channel and with a 15-20 meter length of 1.5 t/e to a junction box then off to the three transformers?

Unless you feel there will ever be a need to split the transformers onto different dimmer channels, and are content that you will always be happy with all of them on the one channel, then you should be fine running one length of 1.5mm T+E to the room, and then branching off to each tranny.

Just dont go overloading the dimmer channel, make sure you have the correct rated dimmer for the job
