    Hello,

I would like to change the location of the c-bus project files used by toolkit. I would like to have it situated on a mapped network drive (for backup purposes, and yes I know that I can export it) instead of on the local c:\clipsal\... directory. I could not find an option in Toolkit, or an entry in the registry to change its location, any ideas???

    Cheers and thanks in advance

Yes you can (or used to be able to).

In the folder C:\Clipsal\C-Gate2\config there is a file C-GateConfig.txt

edit the section #### project.default.dir: and change it to where you want the project files to reside.

    Thanks Mick,

the option was right where you said it was. I did run into trouble with slashes versus back-slashes in the path and issues with c-gate recognising UNC or mapped drives.

I worked around it by reinstalling toolkit and asking it to install c-gate on the mapped network drive. This seemed to work fine as I did not need to edit the project path. I have a second pc that is permanently connected via a multi comport PCI card to 2x B&W C-Touch Units a telephone interface and a Concept 4000 panel. I did the same there with Toolkit and I can now access the same project from both PC's on a RAID5 NAS that runs a remote replication service nightly to a second RAID5 NAS. YiHa! :D

    Kind regards

    Jason
