Can I do this with C-BUS/Ethernet?

    In one of our projects, a centralized clipsal touch screen is used to display lighting in 5 locations.
    The 5 locations are not close to each other so not easy to run C-Bus Cat-5 cable.

    I need to know if I can put one Ethernet Network Interface(SLC5500CN) at each location and convert C-But to Ethernet.
    Then just plug the touch screen to Ethernet.
    Will the touch screen be able to display/control C-BUS via Ethernet/SLC5500CN?

    Will the following scheme work?

    Ethernet C-BUS
    Touch screen -----------> SLC5500CN ----------> C-BUS units (location#1)
    |
    | C-BUS
    --------> SLC5500CN -----------> C-BUS units (location#2)

    No, the Colour Touchscreen can only connect to C-bus via its own physical C-Bus connection.

    You also can't use 2 CNIs to join two C-Bus networks via ethernet.

    Hello lightingbug.

    If each location is a standalone network and you want to monitor and control them individually you could use either Home Gate or Schedule Plus on a PC.
    To make this clear: a switch at Location A will not control a load at Location B (...well, unless you write code to do so).

    PS: this applies to CNI backbone projects only, network bridges are different. :)
