After recent change from leading edge to universal C-Bus dimmers, expensive Phillips downlights that also claim universal dimming capabilities now can remain off for several seconds- if they come on at all- or tend to flicker. They were fine on the old leading edge C-Bus dimmer.

With both boasting universal dimming capability, I'm told that the cause is like one of those caricature dinner indecision conversations... "What do you want for dinner? I don't mind, what do you want? Not fussy, I'll have what you're having. I actually don't mind; you decide" etc etc etc ....

So is there anything I can do to instruct C-Bus to just use trailing edge? There's nothing on the downlight I can control, but nor can I see anything in C-Bus toolkit that can end the indecision. I'd prefer not to replace the downlights; they're nice waterproof examples with a very long warranty and daylight as one of the colour options.

How many downlights on each dimmer channel?
Do you have a link for the lamps?
It could be due to the low load.
If the lights are performing well otherwise you could try one of the 31LCDA load correction devices.
I wouldn't buy a heap of them though because they are not cheap, won't fix every problem and may not help at all.
