I have managed to connect CBus toolkit and PICED to a CBus project and can see it on laptop via CNI and Wiser.

I have HA installed using VM software on. Mac

Have no idea about docker . Just using UI from HA to install all the software such as mqtt broker etc

How do I go CBus lighting into HA. I have installed mqtt and mqtt-broker but i don’t know where I can locate config files to enable comms between CBus & HA. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

In home assistant try to add this plugin h**ps://github.com/MtSamsonite/ha-cbus2mqtt
Home assistant installs these things in containers anyway so dont worry about adding a docker in the mix.
another addon I would look at is Node Red - it is helpful to do some advanced linking and is fun to use. Another way way since you have wiser could be to use an instance of homebridge then run wiser to homebridge and then use home assitant to connect to the homekit and it will bring all your Cbus groups from the wiser as homekit devices, sounds convoluted but will give you local voice control from Siri if you are an apple user? also cbustomqtt through wiser will drop connection if you use the app

    Hello,

If you are evaluating and looking into 3rd party systems - I would recommend you look at OpenHAB ..

There is a decent direct integration https://www.openhab.org/addons/bindings/cbus/

I would also suggest setting it up on a dedicated device to make it reliable and get the PAF (Partner Acceptance!) ..

We can help you through this if you need any specific help (DM me).
