Hi...my first post to this forum, so please excuse me if this has been already discussed.

Clipsalsecurity (Malaysian) have an access/security product called CentralAXS. This can accept weigand keypad access, as well as card readers and according to the spiel, integrates video and security with a C-Bus interface. The system has an inbuilt webserver for remote operation.

It all sounds really good, but apparently it is not available to us in Aus.

Has anyone looked at this system and when are we going to be able to buy it locally? (Why can't we already?) I'm looking at using an Innerrange Access 4000, but this sounds to be preferable.

I guess that buying from Malaysia would not be particularly simple?

Any thoughts and feedback would be appreciated.

    Cheers
    Miles

    Miles,

You are right the CentralAXS is only available to the Asian region. It is not supported by Clipsal in Australia, hence not available. Just a couple of notes, the CentralAXS supports 32 doors and 64 I/O points, so it is only suitbale for medium size installations. Secondly, the unit features an embedded web based application which is a very nice feature. Thirdly it fully supports C-Bus integration. The unit also features a logic engine and schedular. Just one point of clarification, it does not have a built in video web server, rather it supports port forwarding, up to 4 IP cameras or a 4 port video server may be connected to the CentralAXS.

    Regards

    Thanks for the response Stace.

The CentralAXS sounds to offer some really good features that are not available in other access systems.
Is the unit a fully functioning alarm panel as well, or would it typically be used in conjuction with Minder Pro?

    Cheers

    More about CentralAXS

The CentralAXS supports alarm functions, it can support up to 64 I/O points. It features battery backup etc.. it does not have a dialler facility but you can connect a third party dialler if required. as far as MinderPRO is concerned goto Comfort Automation Panel dealer in Australia for similair item with C-Bus interface.
