cgate not starting with toolkit

    cgate will not start due to possible firewall blocks (which is not possible)...what i need to know is what version of java will cgate run on.
    as you read i am reinstalling new updated toolkit and firmware although the touch screen has been broken.

    Hi Willur,

    try running c-gate from the commandline and see what errors it reports.

    A) click start menu and select run.

    B) Enter "command" without the quotes in the dialog box and press OK.

    C) in the result command window type "cd\" without quotes and press enter.

    D) type "cd clipsal\c-gate2" without quotes and press enter.

    E) type "java -jar cgate.jar" without quotes and press enter

    this will run cgate and show any errors on the screen. Let us know what happens and what is reported.

    F) as an extra follow steps A and B and then type "java -version" in the window and report the result here as well.
