    Dear Sir,

I have 5Nos 5500CN which I am trying to access via both windows XP and Windows7 on my different laptops are not connecting using the MAC address provided. When I try to add device and enter the Mac address that is listed on the side of the CNI it says device not found. I tried the 5 CNI's I have with me which is from the same batch 22-Jun-2011.
Where as we are able to scan and work with the CNI's which we had in stock early.

MAC Address of the non working CNI's are
    00-20-4A-D2-6E-BB
    00-20-4A-D2-6E-CC
    00-20-4A-D2-6E-3F
    00-20-4A-D2-6E-B0
    00-20-4A-D2-6C-D4

Thanks in Advance, waiting for your valuable guideline.
Is it necessary to replace the same, or any way to get the solution.

    Thanks & Regards

How are you trying to "connect" to these CNIs?

Normally the CNI IP Address would be used for communicating with the CNI, not the MAC Address.

The usual process is to use the IP Utility to assign each CNI an IP Address and sub-net before using them

There is a tool from the manufacturer which can locate a CNI from the Mac address in the scan tool over the network.

What I do to overcome this problem is to go to the router and see what the "attached devices" are in the DHCP client list and it reveals the MAC Address associated with the IP address.

In later firmware revisions the MAC address scan tool works perfectly.

But yes ... you are right. The IP address is the way to go.
