Trying to load project onto colour c-touch, having problems,

PICED software is saying project is uploaded but c-touch comes up with error message : aux driver error : @101 serial port open failed, serial port probably in.

This also comes up if i try to reset default project.

Tryed laptop and home computer both doing the same, i did manage to upload one of the demo projects once and cannot do it again.

Sometime when i upload i get no error messages and i can see the project but after a few seconds the c-touch will power down and reboot with the default screen

    any ideas

I have never heard of this happening before. It may be a faulty unit. I would suggest trying another unit.

Have you tried to reboot or power cycle the unit?

I presume you mean the "default" project? Or do you mean the C-Touch Colour "fingerprint" background?

When the unit "reboots" in this way, do you ever see a completely black screen for a while? (If not then the unit is not actually rebooting but simply attempting to restart HomeGate.)

I suspect that for some reason there are two instances of HomeGate running that interfere with each other. (I manually induced this condition and saw much the same symptoms.) Power cycling should fix that.

    Regards,
