    Hello,
Could some one please advise if it is possible when writing conditions in Piced to set Annual or Seasonal conditions that recur every year.
I am trying to set pool filter run times for different seasons, Is this Possible using Special Days.

    Regards Scott333

There are many ways of doing this, but you wouldn't use Special Days to do it.

The easiest way is to have several sets of schedules to run the pool filter for different durations, each enabled by the same Enable Group, but a different "level". This will ensure that only one lot of schedules will be enabled at a time.

Then you need another few schedules to change which of the above schedules are enabled on the required dates.

A simple version of this would be:

    Schedule 1

    Enable Group 1, Level 1
Controls pool filter for 2 hours

    Schedule 2

    Enable Group 1, Level 2
Controls pool filter for 8 hours

    Schedule 3

    Always Enabled
    May 1st
Sets Enable Group 1 to level 1 (enables Schedule 1)

    Schedule 4

    Always Enabled
    October 1st
Sets Enable Group 1 to level 2 (enables Schedule 2)

    Hi Scott,

I actually use a temperature sensor (either pool water or ground temp - ground temp works better with a smaller pool, the sensor should be around 300mm deep) to determine the optimum running times. Generally you want to run the longest cycle once the average temperature is around 25-26C and taper down to a minumum around 17 degrees.

    Kind Regards,

    Paul
