Gents, been asked if I can control a domestic UK gas fire with cbus. Has anyone controlled a gas fire in this way?

    Manufacturer
    Third party Interface

Client does not want to use a IR/RF remote control.

    Regards

    Hi pgardiner

You didn't give much information about 3rd party control options for the heater.

If you just need to switch some extra low voltage inputs, the L5108REVLP is quite handy.

    http://www.cleverhome.com.au/manual...-8-Channel-Low-Voltage-Relay-Installation.pdf

The L5108REVLP is not in the CIS website product list (hint to Clipsal, credit to the resellers).

Whatever you do, I think you should make sure the manufacturers control system is intact for safety and liability reasons.

You could also use this relay and wire to the buttons on the remote.

Another option is to use a NIRT plate next to the unit and then use cbus to trigger the sending of these IR codes
