    Hi All,
I have had a 4Ch. bus couper for a while but only recently tried to connect it. As soon as I connect it to the c-bus network Ch 2 & 4 LEDs light up, after about 5 seconds they go out and Ch 3 LED lights up, stays on and the other LEDs blink rapidly. The c-bus network connections are correct, I have tested them, and the Channel outputs are not yet connected to anything. Can somebody tell me whats happening:confused:

    Thanks.

The Bus coupler incorporates features which can force the state of the network to agree with the state of the switch inputs. This is achieved by transmission of lighting application messages on the network. If there are no units on the network operating in the same application as the bus coupler, the messages will not be acknowledged and the bus coupler will respond by flashing LEDs.

The different channel behaviours of your Bus coupler suggest to me that the unit has been configured some time in the past and consequently you are getting the flash on some channels and not on others. (If the group is set to unused, there is no transmission, hence no error for that channel)
