Crash on Windows Server 2012

    I am getting the same problem with C-Bus Toolkit crashing ever since version 1.12.8 through to the current 1.13.3 version whenever attempting to add or edit any networks. Prior to the Toolkit crashing the attempt to edit/add a network results in the C-Gate server service crashing (which I presume is why the Toolkit then fails).

    The problem only seems to present itself when installing on Windows Server 2012/R2 (whether on direct physical hardware or as a hyper-V guest OS).

    The only visible difference I can see is that when installing the Toolkit under Server 2012 there is only one prompt to install a Clipsal driver, whereas in all other tested OS versions there are THREE sequential prompts to install EDLT drivers during the installation process. I can only guess that with the new EDLT drivers introduced with toolkit v1.12.8 that the failure to correctly install those drivers is the cause of the C-Gate/Toolkit crash when trying to add/edit c-bus networks in a project.

    I have tested win7, win8.1, win2008server and all work ok without crashing.

    So are there any Clipsal software development people that read these forums that can fix this bug with Toolkit v1.12.8+ and Windows server 2012/R2 OS editions??????

    (I moved this to a new thread as I'm not sure its the same error as the thread you posted in.)

    Have you had a chance to put this to technical support? We haven't been relayed any logs from the field regarding Windows Server 2012, so I don't have much to go on here. The Toolkit logs and C-Gate level 9 logs would help a lot.

    We did add a workaround in TK 1.13.2 for a "false" error with WS2008 (see release notes), so now Toolkit can be launched and used on that OS. As you've tested on WS2008, can you confirm you already tried that workaround?

    Conformation of crashing on Windows Server 2102R2

    Good day,

    I'm also experiencing crashing on a clean install of Server 2012R2 64bit and 1.13.3. All the device drivers install and the C-Bus device is viewable in the device manager, but the C-Bus Toolkit will not connect to the device on, in my case COM4:

    I have had previous versions of the toolkit running on Server 2008 R2 64bit with no issues.

    I can connect to the C-Gate server via Telnet so I know that the service is running. Any help or assistance would be awesome. I've restarted both the C-Gate service and the server multiple times with no success.
