Not sure if I am on the right track here, please could some one correct me if I am wrong...
I have been asked to interface C-bus and Crestron

C-bus can interface into Crestron via RS232 using a c-bus serial interface and db9 cable, provided that the Crestron controller has a RS232 serial port? I think?

I have wiser on my home LAN and wanted to interface into Crestron, my Crestron controller is also connected onto my homes LAN. Will I be able to interface the two without having the additional expense of a C-bus serial interface?

I guess the short question is: Can I send and recieve RS232 commands via LAN using my wiser and crestron controller?

Whilst it may technically be possible to configure the Crestron unit in such a way as to talk to C-Bus through the wiser (I'm not familiar with Crestron) this will take the Wiser out of normal operating mode and put it into transparent mode. You can't make a Wiser act as an Ethernet C-Bus interface AND a Wiser at the same time.

I know that Crestron have an RS-232 interface that can talk to a C-Bus RS-232 PC Interface. I don't know if they have a sofware module that allows them to talk to C-Bus using an Ethernet interface, i.e. a 5500CN ethernet interface, so I'll let one of the other guys more familiar with Crestron answer that one.

Yes you can use Crestron to connect to the CNI /Wiser port.

I'm not sure how much you are into Crestron \ Cbus but if you know what commands are needed (same as RS232 eg. \0538007901) you can send or receive them directly.

If you are connecting via wiser don't forget you can only have one port opened at a time.
