    Hi everybody,
I'm wondering if anyone here has successfully got a Crestron ST-CP (part of the SmarTouch range) to send C-Bus commands via one the RS-232 ports and a PCI?
I'm getting some secondhand SmarTouch stuff to play with and want to trigger some C-Bus scenes in my home theatre.
It doesn't help that Crestron has locked down a lot of their software and tech info stuff from the general public. Unless you are a Crestron Dealer or a Crestron accredited programmer, it's off limits.
    Regards,
    Michael.

At the end of the day all that Crestron are doing is making the market open for others.

You should be able to use the ST-CP to communicate with C-Bus. Drop me a personal message if you need an example of a program.

    Hi,
I know that there are compatibility issues between the V4 PCI and the crestron driver. From memory (and there may be people who can correct me) Crestron developed their driver for an earlier version of PCI. When CIS updated the PCI they never fixed their driver. I have heard of crestron users creating their own drivers so they can communicate with C-Bus.

This may be related to your problem.

I'm planning on using an old V3 (green front cover) PCI for the Crestron system. Hopefully this will be OK.
