Apart from the logic engine, is there any major differences between the ct5000 and newer mk2 touchscreens ?

I tried to find a comparison matrix, but came up with nothing.

I've been offered a ct5000 and I'd like to know if it's worth me getting or holding out for a used Mk2 somewhere.

    Thanks !

    Hi theboyg,

From the C-Bus MkII B&W touch screen controller brochure:

    Bigger screen
    Enhanced contrast
    Superior backlighting
    Wide range of fascia styles
Available with or without C-Bus logic engine
RS-232 port for third party device integration*
USB programming port accessible from the front of the unit.

The mounting options were also improved.

The MkII screen is so much better than the original MkI that if I were you I would get a MkII. Even better, and for only a little additional cost, many would consider that the newer colour C-Bus Spectrum touch screen controller provides the best value for money.
